Children and Young People

We work in partnership with other organisations and a local primary schools with offering to deliver a wide range of services for Children & Young People. Outdoor Education has always been something that we have keen to develop; from foraging in the Pentlands Den building, walks around the Dam. Mountain Biking has proven to be very successful amongst young people which we do in partnership with Fet Lor Youth Centre, cycle proficiency we can organise to deliver with MYDG who are a training organisation based in North Edinburgh.

We have been proven to provide excellent services for primary aged kids in the shape of our Junior Youth Clubs. We run three Junior Youth Clubs each week and when kids come along they are given the opportunity to take part in a varied programme of activities which encourage them to develop their personal and social skills. Healthy eating and cooking activities seem popular at with these groups and the children as they get to organise and prepare the food they want to taste. We also provide mid term / Summer holiday activity programmes which are always very well attended.

We assist to co ordinate Youth Clubs for young people aged 12-18 and we do this in partnership with Fet Lor Youth Centre. Young People can come along to our youth clubs and take part in a wide range of activities including, football, table tennis, cooking, snooker and much more. We encourage young people to come and learn new skills and to take part in our programme. We engage with a transition stage as older children 7p from the Junior youth Club are introduced to the older youth group at Fet Lor. Members can go on to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme.
